Reason Why Did I Choose Information System as My Major

Hi, Good day everyone

Before I start the engine, let me introduce myself, my name is Fachry Annrust Shafli, you can call me as Fachry or Annrust. I am 21 years old and I was born on 10 December 1996 at Bhakti Mulia Hospital, Jakarta and then I live in Jalan Pucung 1, Condet, Balekambang, Jakarta Timur. I am the first child from 2 siblings. My mother and father working at the same companies on Advertising Agency Division.

I have 2 reasons why I decided to choose Information Systems as my major

1. I love to play video game and I am put more interest about the future of technology

2. Every single person, who is studying on the same campus as me, has the same reason as me, “Rejected From State University” Lol Hahaha.

So, let me tell you some story, why I am choosing Gunadarma University and Information System as my major. I used to student at Soedirman Islamic High School and I am part of Social Science class, basically we learn about economics, sociology, and accounting, when the final season is almost done, I started to think about what is the next major that I should choose when I enter university. so I am decied to choose Islamic Economy to be the next step, I start to search and compare about the greatest university, I try to take some of tests and selections, the first one is I am tried to apply in SNMPTN through by school report card, and the second one it is for the backup plan is I am try at Gunadarma scholarship. Finally, the result is come up. I successfully pass and accepted in STAIN Purwokerto majoring in Islamic Economic and Gunadarma too, but after a lot considering about STAIN Purwokerto like this place is so far away, cost of living, so i am decided to choose Gunadarma University with Information System as a major.

At Gunadarma University I learned many things about computers like system analysis, how to build the correct database, build an application or software, programing, and much more. We are also studying how to think using good logical to build an algorithm, and today i'm officially in the final season. As long as I am studying in Gunadarma University I'm focused on website-based programming and I have mastered several types of programming languages like HTML, CSS, PHP, Oracle, and MySQL. Therefore, I try to apply for a job as part-time. Alhamdulillah now I am working in Singapore company called Aberdeen-Offshore Pte-Ltd as part-time staff. The company is engaged in supplies and services related to Oil and Gas. The first time I joined this company, I was given a position as a website designer, I created and built several websites for companies, such as https://aberdeen-offshore.com/, https://www.selebritishop-jkt.com/, http://warungsingapore-express.com/. After 3 months working in this company I get offered one more position on Ship Brokering Division as Sales and Purchasing Staff.
